Roots-IN 2024, a special edition to crown a year dedicated to roots tourism
Two days of networking, training and business matching dedicated to tourism back to the land of origin between Italian and international tour operators. On 18 and 19 November 2024, the year of Italian roots in the world: an extraordinary opportunity for Italian tourism and the promotion of incoming thanks to the movement to return to the land of origin.
In the year dedicated to Italian roots in the world, there are many projects, initiatives and events – especially in small Italian municipalities – designed to attract travelers to their territory to rediscover their family roots.
A potential of about 80 million Italian-descendants in the world, represented by the generations following those who, between the end of the 19th century and during the 20th century, emigrated from our country.
The main theme of the 2024 edition of Roots-IN is the relationship between roots and MADE-IN-ITALY, enhancing the contribution of our compatriots who have made Italy great in the world.
There are many Italians who have distinguished themselves abroad for their genius and creativity, such as Leonardo da Vinci, whose Vitruvian man, a symbol of Renaissance art, was chosen as the logo for the National Day of Made in Italy, which falls on April 15, the anniversary of his birth.
