The event “Charcoal burners, pinottolai and transhumant shepherds: Stories of migrants taken from the Casentino Memory Bank”, offers the opportunity to explore the stories of the Casentinesi who have left their homeland to look for work abroad. Through the screening of a series of documentaries taken from the archive of the Bank of Memory, participants will be transported into the past to learn about the lives and experiences of charcoal burners, pinottolai and transhumant shepherds.

The charm of these traditional figures of the Casentino emerges through the images and testimonies collected over the years, offering an authentic and touching look at the lives of those who have embraced a migratory lifestyle to support their families and pursue their aspirations.
